About

Spinner Deburring is the magnetic micro deburring side of ATM Machine Tools Ltd — a machine tool engineering business in Wokingham, Berkshire. We supply sPINner magnetic deburring machines, pins and compounds, and we help engineers work out whether the process suits their components in the first place.

Machine tool engineers first

ATM Machine Tools has supported the engineering and manufacturing industries for more than forty years. The company is built on time-served machine tool engineers — including its managing director and owner, David Clarke — and that is still the background everything else is built on.

The core of the business is machine tools: planned maintenance, refurbishment, control and drive retrofitting, modernisation, and breakdown and service support. Some of our planned maintenance contracts have run through thirty years of a machine’s service life, and our rebuild, refurbish and retrofit tally is now in the region of one hundred and twenty machine tools.

Why deburring sits with us

As the company grew, we added products that complement the markets we already served: specialised tooling for knurling, broaching and burnishing, and micro deburring machinery. Adding a product line brought with it the need to understand the technology properly.

We do not simply want to sell a machine. We want to understand the process it is being bought for, share what we know about it, and help develop a method that produces the result you actually need. That is why the conversation here starts with your component rather than a model number.

How we approach a deburring enquiry

Where we are, who we work with

Our offices and workshops are in Berkshire, close to good motorway, rail and London airport connections, and from there we support customers across the UK and Europe. Our service engineers have also led and supported bespoke projects in North America.

Our customers range from single machine tool users to fully automated manufacturing sites. In every case we are trying to build a working relationship and deliver engineering that adds something measurable to the business, rather than complete a transaction.

Talk to us about your parts

Tell us what you make, where the burrs are and what a finished component has to achieve. If you can include the material grade and dimensions, the batch quantity, the burr location and your critical tolerances, the first conversation gets a lot further.
